I love Alzheimer’s<\/p>\n

when mom looks into my eyes
\nsays \u201cMy baby girl. I love you.\u201d
\ntwinkles
\nhugs me close
\nshe lifts the world to my lips
\npours gratitude through me<\/p>\n

inconsequential then
\nthat names are dead
\npast is gone
\nold us drowned<\/p>\n

we float happy here<\/p>\n

no longer up to us to judge or fix others
\nworry needlessly
\nfret about what we don\u2019t have
\nwho we aren\u2019t
\ncarry world weight
\nharbor regret<\/p>\n

we are free together
\nentirely
\nevery moment I let us be<\/p>\n

so I let us be<\/p>\n
